Introduction
All the searches in this page are simultaneously carried
out in two different catalogues: the former is made up of
the lists of titles provided by the single Publishers according
to their own criteria of cataloguing, with no standardization.
The latter is our main catalogue, that was developed according
to specific search criteria, covering about 10% of all the
available titles.
General advices
We kindly advise you to start your searches writing generic
words, since the catalogues provided by the single Publishers
do not have any standard in cataloguing. For instance you
may find Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" or "4 Seasons"
or "Quattro Stagioni"....
Even the authors' name can vary a lot: you may find Niccolò
or Nicolò Paganini, Strawinsky, Stravinskij or Stravinski....
Avoid to use conjunctions or other particles (such as and/
or/ in).
Our system seeks the words by analysing the beginning of
them: this is why Dallapiccola will be found or by writing
Dallapiccola either by writing Dalla, but not by writing
Piccola. To solve such case you can use the symbol *. For
example: write "*piccola".
Search by Author
You can start your search by writing the author's name.
If you do not see any result, try to make it shorter. Write
Stra for Stravinski, for example. Make little use of the
authors' first name, as Publishers normally write just the
initials.
Search by Title and/ or Instrument
We kindly advise you to write words generic, for instance
write Son (instead of Sonata) or the first letters of any
instrument, for instance Son kl (Sonata for piano).
Search by Publisher
Just write the correct name of the Publisher of your choice,
and you will get his catalogue.
